Jamie initially started his racing career with International Carting Foundation.
2000-2001
Racing Go-carts on the dirt ovals of Albuquerque and Las Cruces, N.M.
2002-2003
In his first year of racing legend cars, Jamie finished 2nd in the Young Lions Division for the state of Texas at age 13. He also won Rookie of the Year Honors at both the El Paso Speedway Park (Dirt) and Mesilla Valley Racing (Dirt) in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
2004
Jamie spent the year "Saturday Night Racing" on the oval at Sandia Motorsports Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and won Rookie of the Year Honors "On the Big Oval."
2005-2006
The next 2 Seasons were spent campaigning his Super-Late Model car at race tracks all over the Western U.S. He raced both straight rail chassis and perimeter chassis cars in the SRL, USLMA, North States Series and weekly NASCAR Series getting valuable seat time at different size and shaped tracks.
2007
Jamie split time between his Super-Late Model Car and running a limited schedule of 5 races on the NASCAR Circuit in order to keep his rookie status. He scored a Top 5 Finish at Altamont, California in his 3rd race on the NASCAR West Series.
